RMNX Closing Procedures
Your nightly closing is one of the most important things to know. These are the steps that ensure money goes into the correct accounts and that the books are properly balanced.
• Count Cash & Checks. See the attached example for cash counting procedures. Make sure your Box + Drawer equals $800.
• Enter your bank deposit, which equals the Cash and Checks counted in Step 1 above. Choose Cash Deposit and then Log Cash Deposit. Enter your ID# and the amount. Press Accept.
• Double Check Credit Card Settlement
Run the following reports under NON-CASH REPORTS:
Non-Cash Sales by Order
Get the Qty and “C-C Total” (Near Bottom - FAR RIGHT)
VitalNet C-C Settlements
Get the Qty and “Grand Total” (Bottom - FAR RIGHT)
*Check for missing c-c’s
These two numbers should match to the penny. If they do not, call MTC 800-400-2383 for assistance.
Run Settle / Close Day
• Run Close the Day. Under Daily Accounting, choose Close the Day and the wizard will take you through the following prompts:
• Close all open orders (Cash Out, Void or Promo). Choose Open Orders then All. Then go to Manager Screen, select Open Order, and Void. It will ask for a reason, enter accordingly.
• Time-Out all employees. Choose Yes to time all employees out or go back to the Daily Accounting screen and choose Edit Time Card File. Select an individual employee then touch the “Out” field. Enter time out in military time. (i.e. 8:15pm = 2015). Press Done when complete.
• Settle / Close Day. Select Yes to settle. If there are any errors, call MTC or VisaNet.
• Complete the Weather Screen.
Reboot (Yes) and leave the computer system running.
