Credit Card Failure from Bank

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN?

THE BANK IS UNABLE

ACCEPT CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS

 

1. CALL MTC – WE WILL CHECK WITH THE BANK FOR YOU

2. IF THE BANK IS GOING TO BE DOWN FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME, RESTAURANT MASTER NX IS CAPABLE OF CONTINUING TO ACCEPT CREDIT CARDS.

NOTE: WHEN ACCEPTING CREDIT CARDS IN THIS MODE, NX ASSUMES THAT THE CARD IS GOOD. IF THE CARD TURNS OUT TO BE NO-GOOD, THE RESTAURANT WILL ABSORB THE LOSS.

3. GO TO THE SYSTEM MANAGER, ICVERIFY, TOGGLE ICVERIFY

4. PRESS ACCEPT, THEN CLOSE NX ON ALL THE STATIONS AND RE-OPEN IT. THIS WILL PUT THE SYSTEM INTO THE NON-BANK PROCESSING MODE.

5. CONTINUE TO ACCEPT CREDIT CARD SALES IN THIS WAY UNTIL THE BANK’S SYSTEM COMES BACK ONLINE

6. TO RUN THE TRANSACTIONS THROUGH THE BANK, GO TO THE SYSTEM MANAGER, ICVERIFY, TOGGLE ICVERIFY.

7. CLOSE & RE-OPEN NX ON ALL STATIONS

8. RUN THE NON-CASH SALES REPORT BY TICKET

9. ON THE SERVER GO TO SYSTEM MANAGER, ICVERIFY, RESUBMIT PAYMENT

10. THIS REQUIRES A TECH PASSWORD, CALL MTC

11. ENTER THE TICKET #

12. WAIT FOR THE SUCCESS NOTICE

13. PROCESS ALL ADDITIONAL UN-PROCESSED TRANSACTIONS IN THIS WAY.

14. SETTLE YOUR BATCH IN THE USUAL WAY.
