NX Gift Card System Instructions

 

Steps to sell a gift card.

Login -> New Order (or add to an existing order)

Find Gift Card Button

NX will ask for the amount

NX will ask you to swipe the card

Accept Order

Accept payment from customer

 

Steps to redeem a gift card.

Login and…

Ring up an order or Cash-Out an existing order

Choose Gift Card payment type

Type amount

Swipe card

Accept remaining payment or Cash Out ticket

 

Steps to check a gift card balance.

(You may direct the customer to our website www.oggis.com)

or

Login -> Add/Edit Customers

Choose Gift Card

Swipe or Key card

Choose Print Balance

 

Steps to transfer a balance / switch a dead card balance.

Login -> Managers Screen

Choose Add/Edit Customers

Choose Gift Card

Swipe or Key card

Choose Transfer Balance

Swipe a New card

Give new card to customer

Dispose of old card (it is no longer valid)

Interesting Facts about gift cards you should know.

 

 

1. Gift cards are limited to $100 transactions. Multiple cards can be sold on one ticket though.

 

2. Gift Cards cannot be used for delivery.

 

3. Balances may be checked online at www.oggis.com or at the POS.

 

4. You cannot void a gift card transaction – redeem it for a misc. item and do a paid out for the customer. (This is to prevent fraud.)

 

5. When a customer uses a gift card to pay for a dine in order, the system will ring the total plus 20% in order to hold a tip. (There is a manager override for special circumstances or change the order to a to-go order)

 

6. You can add money to a gift card that has a balance, you can also transfer a dead card to an existing card.

 

7. You can transfer the balance from a dead mag-stripe to a new card from the Managers Screen.

 

8. Please refer all customer disputes to Oggi’s Corp. offices.

 

9. Gift Cards may not be redeemed for cash; no change is ever given.

 

10. Keep your signed gift card tags and treat them as you would a credit card slip.
